Devlog n.1 - Primitive Battle System


I have been working on the battle system recently and the core mechanics are coming together. The player can go up, down, left and right, and can also dash to avoid projectiles, and I added a text display in the top left corner (a placeholder for now). It looks pretty rough, but I am mainly focusing on the mechanics and will polish it up later. 

The inspiration is obvious, I play a lot of bullet-hell games like Undertale and quirky RPGs like Earthbound. But I am not trying to copy, I am trying to tell a different story with characters that I've made with different game mechanics.
